"The Believer" is the third piece of the Oracle of Life series.
As I was reflecting on beliefs and faith and how it impacts the
make up of our dreams, I was inspired to pull out this old
painting, "The Believer", part of an unfinished triptyque. As I
looked at the painting, my sentiment was that the Believer is not
a beggar as the painting was suggesting to me, but is someone
that gives and receives, doing what he loves to do, and what he
is offering is matching who he is and the source he comes from,
with the Universe response matching the abundance of his
desire, as the actualized version is suggesting.
The process engaged in that painting was one of the most
challenging one at the personal level, having to have my actual
beliefs match my new level of understanding. I have first to
acknowledge my own fears, doubts and insecurities and let go
my attachment to them. In the painting it manifested itself by
accepting the past as it was, leaving the figure untouched, and
by learning to appreciate what it has to offer already. It is then
that I realized the richness and the resourcefulness that our past
already has within once you accept it as it is without trying to fix
it, to change it or to hide it. It is already abundant, so full of life.
Then it was easy to be inspired and to actualize my response
around it, nourished by the figure.
The Believer is someone that gives and receives, doing what he
loves to do, and what he is offering is matching who he is and
the source he comes from, with the Universe response matching
the abundance of his desire.
